I'd like to apologise beforehand for my lack of review writing experience, but I've recently had the pleasure of listening to Physical Heaven, the new EP by Nashville-based band Mother/Father, which will be out on May 18.

A pleasing array of sonic textures, soulful singing and dreamy, ethereal tones reminiscent of the 80's post-punk era present a refreshing, elegant set of sounds. The enrapturing outcome is experimental and dark.
As a fan since 2007, the band has greatly developed their artistic style which has evolved to produce this excellent EP. Opening for acts such as Kings of Leon, White Lies, Glasvegas and Phoenix, the band has had numerous opportunities to expand their audience. P.S. I personally prefer Mother/Father over the lovely aforementioned bands ;)
